UE (EU):

Publication of Regulation 2055/2023 on the restriction of microplastics. (link)

Correction of errors in the wording regarding the dates of introduction and marketing for the use of Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Acid Yellow 3, Homosalate, and HAA299 in cosmetic products, and the correction of said Regulation regarding the use of Resorcinol in cosmetic products. (link)

SCCS (Scientific Committee on Costumer Safety):

Scientific advice: About the opinion of Methyl salicylate and its use in children. (link) Considering the conclusions of SCCS/1633/21 and the cumulative exposure, SCCS considers the use of Methyl salicylate in cosmetics intended for children aged 0.5 to 3 years safe when used at a maximum concentration of 0.02% in Shower gel, hand soap, shampoo, body lotion, face cream, hand cream, lip products, and hair conditioner. For toothpaste, it is considered safe up to a maximum concentration of 2.52% methyl salicylate.
