Sigillum Knowledge Solutions defends sustainability as an opportunity for the fashion sector at the presentation day of the new call for the C-Voucher project

The European project C-VoUCHER (https://c-voucher.com/) aims to generate new cross-sector and cross-border value chains with a circular economy approach, combining industrial value chains (agri-food, health, maritime industries, textile and manufacturing) with enabling technologies (digital, hybrid, and engineering), through design thinking concepts. Within this framework, the project will support 66 SMEs in their transition from linear value chains (cradle to waste) to circular models (cradle to cradle).

One of the target sectors of C-Voucher is the fashion sector, which contributes 2.8% of Spain’s GDP and which plays a priority role in Galicia, both in terms of employment, turnover and international presence. In addition, the fashion industry is at a time of profound changes, partly temporary, due to the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, and partly structural related, among other aspects, with the need to move towards a more sustainable industry model.

On September 15th, organized by the Confederation of Textile Industries of Galicia, COINTEGA, and the Galician Innovation Agency, GAIN, a webinar will be held to present the new call for grants for the C-Voucher project, in which Sigillum Knowledge Solutions will present the main lines of the Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan of the EU, as an opportunity for the sustainability and competitiveness of the textile industry.
